Located at a quaint village 6 km away from Karjat Railway Station, this 30,000 sqft plot has a unique 360 degree view of the lush green countryside of Maharashtra. Designed for a client with a strong political background, it was important to include lots of open space for gatherings and segregation in planning of private spaces.  Planning was done by staying within a grid and following the basic rules of Vastu Shastra. The staircase was conceived as a main focal point in the design and was accentuated by providing a double height over the living room. It was necessary to provide 2 living rooms within the home – one acting as a formal one for meetings and entertaining guests, and the other for some cozy family time. Family living room spills out into a lush lawn that merges the home into the stunning natural views surrounding the plot. External facade is treated with Natural Stone Cladding to complement the surroundings and to give the design a distinctive look.
